In an interview with the Russian Kommersant the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakasshvili stated that he is not afraid that a global conflict could start because of him, with the participation of Russia and the USA.
“I’ve seen so much cravenness over the last few days on behalf of the Russian militarism that I am not afraid of anything anymore,” he stated.
Besides that, Saakashvili accused Russia of inflaming the conflict and said that he does not intend to make compromises with “Putin’s regime” and that he is ready on anything to give Geargia [sic] back its territories.

Det var altså samme Saakashvili, som McCain nominerede til Nobels Fredspris i 2005 (sammen med Hillary Clinton, i øvrigt), sandsynligvis på foranledigelse af Randy Scheunemann. Hvis McCain vinder til november, så hold på hat og briller. Og tak guderne for, at USAs hær har travlt andetsteds.
